MiiHealth, formerly known as MiiCare and a portfolio company of the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University MedTech Accelerator, has established its new headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona
PHOENIX (Aug. 28, 2024) — MiiHealth, a leading healthtech company dedicated to empowering seniors through their advanced conversational AI health coach, proudly announces the relocation of its headquarters to Phoenix, Arizona. This strategic move positions MiiHealth at the forefront of healthcare innovation in alignment with the City of Phoenix’s ambition to become a premier hub for health technology. The relocation underscores MiiHealth’s commitment to advancing innovative healthcare solutions in partnership with Arizona’s top institutions.
MiiHealth’s new headquarters places the company at the heart of Arizona’s burgeoning health technology ecosystem. This relocation marks a significant milestone in MiiHealth’s growth, reinforcing our mission to revolutionize senior care through technology. Our solutions have already demonstrated a significant impact in existing healthcare environments, including a notable reduction in hospital bed days and an improvement in care efficiency. Moving forward, we are committed to implementing a value-based care model designed to achieve a substantial improvement in healthcare expenditure per capita.
“We are thrilled to establish our headquarters in Phoenix, a space that embodies innovation, collaboration and growth,” said Kelvin Summoogum, Group CEO and President of MiiHealth. “We are breaking new frontiers in healthcare innovation and bringing the best of recent technological advancements to our industry. We are captivated by our quest to transform the way health and care are delivered today to those grappling with chronic conditions. But this requires a concerted effort from all the key players across the value chain. We therefore call on providers, payers and payviders in the valley to get in touch and together we will transform the lives of millions.”
MiiHealth’s new headquarters not only strengthens its ties with key regional partners but also supports the company’s participation in the prestigious Mayo Clinic and ASU MedTech Accelerator program. This accelerator opened access to world-class expertise, resources, and mentorship, enabling the company to refine its technology further and bring innovative solutions to market more rapidly.
Steven J. Lester, MD, Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science stated, “MiiHealth, formerly MiiCare, offers unique and important innovations in the way people interact with conversational AI and digital tools in both medical and home settings, making health and healthcare more accessible and responsive. Because MiiHealth is a Mayo Clinic and ASU MedTech Accelerator portfolio company, there has been a unique opportunity for institutional learning and cross-collaboration. We are supportive of the organization’s strategic expansion into the United States, with its headquarters planned for the Phoenix metro area.”
The relocation comes at a pivotal moment for MiiHealth, as the company nears the close of its capital round. This capital infusion will be instrumental in scaling operations, expanding product offerings, and accelerating the company’s go-to-market strategy. By solidifying its presence in Greater Phoenix, MiiHealth is better positioned to attract top talent, forge strategic partnerships, and drive innovation that will benefit seniors across the country.
MiiHealth’s relocation to Phoenix marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the company, one that promises to deliver groundbreaking solutions to meet the needs of an aging population. We look forward to continued collaboration with our partners in Arizona and beyond as we work together to improve the quality of life for seniors through technology.
“As an epicenter of thriving healthcare technology, research, and breakthroughs, it’s no surprise that MiiHealth has chosen Phoenix as its home. Their people-centered approach to AI technology is helping chart a path toward further discoveries in emerging technologies that will improve lives and health outcomes,” Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego said. “I am excited to welcome MiiHealth to our city and look forward to the impact they’ll have both in this evolving industry and on our residents needing care.”
“MiiHealth’s headquarter relocation into the market is a signal of Greater Phoenix’s emergence as a destination for international companies looking for opportunities in the healthcare sector,” said GPEC President & CEO Chris Camacho. “This partnership between MiiHealth, Mayo Clinic, ASU and Wexford will open the doors to future collaboration and continued development out of the PBC.”
