Leading producer of latex, polyurethane foam inks deal in Greater Phoenix bringing 40 new jobs
PHOENIX, AZ (March 22, 2019) — Belgium-based Latexco US, a leading manufacturer of latex and foam products for the bedding industry, signed their lease on an 88,000-square-foot facility in Greater Phoenix. Located at 555 S 65th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, the expansion is the product of Latexco moving operations from Santa Fe Springs, Calif. to Greater Phoenix to accommodate company growth.
“The expansion of business out of California continues to create wins for Greater Phoenix and enhances our reputation as a place where businesses can scale and succeed,” says Chris Camacho, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC). “The advanced manufacturing sector in the region is robust and the talent here is ready to meet the growing demands of the industry. We welcome Latexco US to Greater Phoenix and look forward to supporting their growth.”
Upon evaluating their customer base, Latexco determined that relocating to the region would provide significant opportunity. They noted the region’s high energy and dynamic atmosphere in relation to growth. Latexco was also impressed by Greater Phoenix’s talent pool and business-friendly attitude towards a relocation project.
“We’re immensely proud of our team and their dedication to providing our valued customers uninterrupted quality service as we implement our growth strategies,” Ben Ducatteeuw, CEO of Latexco US, said. “We hope that the investments we’re making demonstrate our commitment to both our internal and external customers.”
Bringing 40 new jobs to the region, the Phoenix facility will serve as a hub for Latexco’s fulfillment services and cutting-edge advanced manufacturing facility. This new location will specifically increase and improve polyurethane foam and latex production, and offer fully automated mattress assembly with an array of new equipment.
“This is an important example of how businesses today see advantages in adding manufacturing jobs to southwest Phoenix. It’s exciting that Latexco is the latest manufacturer to open in this area of the city. Companies recognize the quality of the workforce living in the area,” said District 7 Phoenix City Councilman Michael Nowakowski. “For the overall Phoenix economy, we appreciate the importance of a foreign-owned company opening manufacturing facilities in the Valley. Latexco joins other Belgian companies located in Phoenix and foreign-based manufacturers making up our diverse international community.”
Latexco has other facilities located around the world from Georgia to Brazil, Spain, Singapore, Indonesia, and Belgium which houses their headquarters. The Phoenix facility will be hiring for careers in distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, equipment operators, finance, sales and marketing.
Greater Phoenix businesses supported the expansion of Latexco to the market. John Grady from CBRE represented the tenant.
