Sarah Demory, A.A.E., ACE is the Assistant Aviation Director/Chief Operating Officer for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department. Demory leads the Aviation Facilities & Services, Operations, Public Safety and Security Divisions, Aviation Fire and Police Operations as well as the Phoenix Deer Valley and Goodyear Airports.

Demory has more than 25 years of extensive experience. Previously, she was the Airport Deputy Director of Operations and Security at the Boise Airport. Prior to her role in Boise, Demory held leadership positions in airport operations and emergency management with Seattle – Tacoma International Airport. Demory also has held positions at Omaha’s Eppley Airfield and Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport. She is the immediate past president of Arizona Airports Association.

Demory has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Creighton University as well as a Master of Science (MS) in Aviation and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Aviation Management from the University of North Dakota. She also has a commercial pilot license with instrument and multi engine ratings and is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). Demory is an AAAE Certified Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) and Airport Certified Employee (ACE) – Operations.
