Where are you originally from and why’d you decide to move to Arizona?

I am originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. I decided to move to Arizona for two reasons: job and quality of life. I was fortunate there was a great opportunity to join the GPEC team that allows me to gain more experience in my economic development career. You can’t beat the quality of life that Greater Phoenix offers.

If you graduated from college, where did you attend and what was your degree?

Louisiana State University (LSU) Geaux Tigers! I graduated with a bachelors degree in Political Communications.

Where do you currently work and what is your title?

Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), Senior Director, Business Development

What do you like to do in Greater Phoenix on the weekends?

In my short time here, I enjoy playing tennis, running, hiking and cheering on my Tigers during football season. I look forward to adding to this list as I learn and explore the region.

What’s your favorite restaurant and why?

When I decided to move the Arizona in August to work for GPEC, I was excited to learn about the awesome food scene in Greater Phoenix. I haven’t been here long enough to have a favorite….yet, so I am open to restaurant recommendations.

How do you stay “cool” in the Arizona summers?

I came from a state that is hot and humid so I am used to the heat. Thankfully, I don’t have to deal with the humidity anymore.

What do you like about our winters and why?

Earlier in 2021, I was snowed/iced in for a full week so I am looking forward to the nice, cool weather Phoenix has during the winter, and all the visitors I’ll have.

What do you love most about living in Greater Phoenix?

I love the views. The people here are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. I’ve been impressed by the cleanliness and landscaping of Greater Phoenix too.

So far, one thing I appreciate about Greater Phoenix is the amenities and opportunities here while still having a small, hometown feel.
