Tell us about your company:

Sandy Smith: BioLab Sciences is a regenerative medicine company focused on creating new ways to heal the body. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, BioLab Sciences is uncovering better ways to address orthopedic injuries, wound care, pain management, aesthetic medicine, respiratory ailments, cardiovascular indications, ophthalmic issues, and more. BioLab Sciences is transforming wound care through MyOwn Skin™, a remarkable biotechnology that leverages a small sample of a patient’s own skin from a non-surgical procedure to produce up to three four-inch by four-inch skin grafts in a week. 

What city in Arizona is your company located in?

Smith: Scottsdale

How did your company get started?

Smith: Originally the technology came from Columbia, South America where the inventors were treating patients that were burned from battery acid. Our founders brought it to the U.S. taking it through all the appropriate FDA channels then through CMS and MAC regions.

Smith: The biotechnology community, and the city’s networking and support. 

What makes your product unique and different?

Smith: We are the ONLY 100% autologous skin with zero rejections, treating over 600 patients.
