David Shilliday
Vice President and General Manager, Unmanned Aerial Systems & Urban Air Mobility / Honeywell Aerospace Technologies
David Shilliday currently serves as the Vice President and General Manager of the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Urban Air Mobility business unit at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. In this role, he oversees the development of new products and functions as a systems integrator for airframe manufacturers and operators in the rapidly evolving UAS market.
The scope of Shilliday’s responsibilities encompasses various aspects of aircraft systems, including avionics, electric and hybrid-electric propulsion, and thermal management. Additionally, he is involved in flight services such as unmanned air traffic management and ground operations services like predictive maintenance analytics.
With more than 18 years of experience at Honeywell, Shilliday previously held the position of Vice President and General Manager for the Power Systems division. In that role, he supported current and future offerings in auxiliary power units, generators, electric and hybrid-electric propulsion, and fuel cells. Before his tenure in power systems, Shilliday served as the Vice President of EMEAI Airlines, where he led sales, customer account management, and channel management functions for the $1.2 billion Airlines Aftermarket in the region. He also played key roles in leading the Honeywell Aerospace Trading (HAT) business, Aftermarket strategy, and IP Licensing.
Prior to joining Honeywell, Shilliday had roles in engineering and IP strategy within the commercial automotive market. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration from the WP Carey School at Arizona State University. Shilliday holds of several patents related to innovative automotive safety technology and has published cooperative research in the field.
