Edna Dapo
Artist
Edna Dapo is an international artist who resides in Phoenix Metro, Arizona. She has been painting for three decades. Dapo has had many public shows, and has received numerous awards. Her work has been selected for New American Paintings 70, and was on the cover of American Art Collector (CA, V4 B2). In 2023 Edna Dapo won the Phoenix Home and Garden Magazine Reader’s Choice Award for Artist/Artisan, published in February/March issue of 2023. Dapo has earned an MFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design, BFA in Painting from ASU, and a diploma from Art School Luka Sorkocevic in Dubrovnik, Croatia. She teaches art classes at Mesa Community College and Scottsdale Community College. Last summer, Dapo was invited to Scotland to teach a portrait workshop in an artist retreat in Brodie Castle. Edna Dapo works at the Phoenix Center for the Arts as a Department Head of Painting and Drawing, where she has taught painting/drawing classes to 6500 students.
