The Hon. Peter Heck

Peter Heck is councilmember with the City of Apache Junction, and has lived in Apache Junction for eleven years and sixteen total in Arizona.
He was born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia. His professional career for thirty-five years was serving as the licensed Executive Director for senior living communities with fifteen of those years in Pennsylvania, five in Washington DC and fifteen in Arizona.
Prior to serving on City Council, he volunteered in many capacities. This included eight years on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the city (three years as Vice Chair and the last two as the Chair), six years on the board of the Apache Junction Area Chamber of Commerce (one year as the board Chair), two years on the board of the Superstition Mountain Branch of the Boys and Girls Club, two years on the board of the Friends of Lost Dutchman State Park and as a member of the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers for four years (currently serving as the organization’s Captain).
Peter has a strong commitment to the City of Apache Junction and recognizes that the economic development of the city is of critical importance.
For recreation, he is an avid horseman. He enjoys trail rides on his horse with his wife and friends.
