Hi, I’m Tyler!

My partner and I — both Southern California natives and die-hard Dodgers fans — met while working for a prominent tech company in Silicon Valley. After starting a family several years ago, we struggled to find a home in our price range that would also provide the space our growing family would need. With the onset of COVID-19 and the increase of remote-work options, we expanded our housing search to Greater Phoenix, specifically Glendale.

Since moving to the Greater Phoenix area, we’ve discovered that the robust and vibrant lifestyle we experienced in California has met its match here in Valley of the Sun.

We found a beautiful home in our budget that allows my partner and I to each have our own office and work for California-based companies. Our large backyard and pool provides our children with hours of entertainment in the sunshine and the public schools in our neighborhood are rated eight out of 10 and higher on national school ranking sites.

On the weekends we take the whole family (including our two four-legged “kids”) to the local farmer’s market or on awesome hikes around the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve. Afterward we often grab brunch at one of the many eateries at the Westgate Entertainment District while the kids play on the splash pad.

My mom has already visited us a number of times, since she can drive here in less than six hours from her place in Los Angeles. She and I love having afternoon tea at The Spicery, the most adorable and quaint local establishment. When she’s in town, my partner and I take advantage of the free babysitting and grab dinner and drinks at La Piazza al Forno. We are certain it’s the best pizza we’ve had since our trip to Italy a few summers ago.
