Hi, I’m Jordan!

After graduating from college and moving to the Bay Area for my dream job in tech, I realized just how expensive it is to live on your own in California and how impossible it’s going to be to own a home someday. When my company announced that we can work remote long-term, I started looking for cities where I can save up to buy a home while still maintaining my lifestyle and settled on Tempe, Arizona.

Right now I’m renting an apartment but in spring I’ll be moving to Culdesac, the first car-free neighborhood built from scratch in the U.S., once the construction is complete. In the Bay I paid nearly double in rent, so now I have more money saved up to travel while still putting some money aside to own a home. Sky Harbor International Airport has direct international flights to 22 locations and was named the best airport in the U.S. which is so fitting because getting through security is a breeze!

When I’m not traveling, I love checking out the local breweries, hitting up coffee shops, trying out new restaurants and going to concerts with friends. Sometimes I even get to combine all my favorite activities like getting some ramen and beer at Shady Park and then heading outside to their patio for a concert. Being new here was intimidating at first but it was so easy to get plugged in and meet new people. I joined PHX Fray to meet some friends, play some social sports, and attend happy hours and other events.

Home to more than 50 local breweries, including Four Peaks, HUSS & Sonoran.
